Book Review - A Court Of Thorns And Roses

Publisher's summary: When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it... or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R. R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

This review is long overdue. I first mentioned this in my current reading list way back and it's review has finally come. Guys, I absolutely loved this. It has magic, mystery, action, romance, basically it has it all. Be warned, this book is not a light read. It will suck you in to it's perfectly flawed world and keep you thinking about it for hours after you finish. Let's talk about the characters. Feyre reminds me a lot of Katniss. They are both hunters, both the only providers for their families, and both strong and stubborn women. Tamlin is sweet and kind but somehow also brutal at the same time. Lucien is the only character that I fell in love with immediately. He is so sassy I love him. There is a character that I hated for most of the book but fell in love with close to the end and that character has become my all time favourite. They are just...perfect..in every sense of the word. I thought I loved Tamlin but this character just blows Tamlin out of proportions. Comment down below or tweet me if you can guess who I am talking about. The plot is pretty good. I admit it was a bit boring at the beginning but calanmai gets so hot its like I'm sitting in a sauna. It's like the viscosity of the plot is directly proportional to the growing a dark shadow (no spoilers). That's science speak for the plot as the book goes on.

Final Verdict: Sarah J. Maas seems to have graduated from Hogwarts because her books are MAGIC.

Will I read the whole series: Heck yeah.
